Richard D Ebling, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Richard Ebling has been practicing optometry in Houston since 1971. As a Diplomate in the Contact Lens Section of the American Academy of Optometry, he is highly regarded both locally and nationally for his expertise in contact lenses. Dr. Ebling has taught at the University of Houston, College of Optometry, in contact lenses, writes articles in professional journals, and lectures to various groups on contact lenses. In 1999, he was named Contact Lens Practitioner of the Year by the Contact Lens Manufacturing Association of America. In addition, Dr. Ebling has conducted many studies for the FDA on new contact lenses and solutions. Dr. Ebling is a native of Big Spring, Texas, and graduated from the University of Houston in 1968.

Karen Ebling, O.D.
Dr. Karen Ebling joined the family business in 2000. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a Doctorate of Optometry in May 1999. She recieved the Vistakon Award of Excellence in Patient Care during her fourth year. Her career began in Colorado working in both a private optometric practice and with an ophthalmologist who specialized in LASIK and cataract surgery. It was a great learning experience and adventure, but family and friends brought her home. Dr. Karen has also served as a member of the clinical faculty at the University of Houston in primary care and contact lenses from 2000-2009. In addition, Dr. Karen is a member of several business and community organizations, including the Optometric Association, the Texas Exes, and the Junior League of Houston.

Randy Charrier, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Randy Charrier is a recent addition to the Ebling Eye Care team. His previous career was as Director of the Specialty Contact Lens Clinic at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California. In addition, Dr. Charrier served as hospital faculty for the ophthalmology resident program providing lectures and clinical rotations on optics and contact lens. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal in 2011 for his work with the clinic and residents.Dr. Charrier currently serves part-time as Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Houston, College of Optometry.
